First Class are getting excited for World Book Day. The girls have been working hard at their reading all year. First Class have designed a new cover for their favourite book and made their own bookmark. Have a look at our book covers below. The girls are very excited to dress up as their favourite book character.

3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th classes were entertained recently in the school hall by The Moon and Sixpence Puppet Theatre. As well as lots of laughter the children learned about puppeteering and theatre in a fun way.

To celebrate World Book Week Jackie Burke, a popular children’s author, visited 3rd and 4th classes. The girls very much enjoyed Jackie’s visit. They shared their enthusiasm for writing and reading with Jackie by discussing writing tips, inspirational ideas and favourite authors. We have lots of budding authors in our school!
World Book Week in 5th
5th class kicked World Book Week off in style by decorating our classroom door. We were inspired by the much loved series “Where’s Wally” and we had great fun creating our own individual Wally!
