Home School Hub is back to help keep everyone busy and engaged with learning over the new lockdown. It will air every weekday, for two hours from 10am on RTÉ2 starting this Monday, 11 January.

To help teachers, parents and pupils plan ahead here is a short note on what is coming up every day and you can click on the links to see the activity and resources to go with each lesson in English and Irish.

Important Update re Staggered collection times on 22nd December

Dear Parents/ Guardians,

The children will be finishing school on Tuesday the 22nd December for the Christmas holidays. In order to reduce the number of pupils leaving the school at the same time and using the main gate, we will be having staggered exit times.

Where possible please have a designated meeting point away from the school building. If you have more than one daughter in our school, please collect her with her older sibling in the usual way. Please find your daughters class below for the time she will be finished school. Pick her up at the usual collection point.

SVP Sale is here!

The girls in 6th class are busy getting ready for the St. Vincent De Paul Sale which will be taking place on the 16th December. This year will be slightly different but just as much fun is guaranteed!

CRAFTS: We have lots of crafts made to sell on the day and a jam packed day of dancing, make and do and even some hot chocolate for everyone. Take a look at some of the items which will be available on the day. Prices are listed below the pictures.

DANCES: The girls have made up a Christmas Tik Tok dance that they will be teaching to all the children. Please see the videos below for the Junior- Second class dance and Third-Sixth dance.

CHRISTMAS JUMPER: On the day we would love for you all to get into the Christmas Spirit by wearing your Christmas Jumper. We ask that each girl donates €2 for wearing their jumper. €1 will go towards SVP and €1 towards Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital Crumlin. Please bring in this money to teacher before December 15th

MOVIE EVENING WITH TREATS: The children are invited to a Christmas Movie with treats in their class on the 16th during school time. There is a charge of €1 for the movie and treats.

NAME THE ELF: We are currently running our’ Name the Elf Competition’. Entry is 50c and can be purchased each morning from the 6th class sellers. The winner will get their very own elf to take home! 20c per entry or 3 guesses for 50c

COLOURING COMPETITION: Christmas elf: 50c to enter the competition

RAFFLE: We have having our Christmas raffle with tickets going on Sale from Monday 16th November. The hamper will be on display in the reception area next week.

We can’t wait to celebrate on the day with you!

SPELLATHON 2020

This year we were blown away by the fantastic response to our Hallowe’en Spellathon. In total our school, raised €3426.70!!!!!

ALL of this money will go towards activities for the children such as Drama, Zumba and lots of more workshops throughout the year.

Thank you to each and every one of our families who supported our school this year.

Survey and Deep Clean

SURVEY

In order for our school to continue providing teaching and learning to meet the needs of our children, we are asking families to fill in the survey below before November 2nd.

DEEP CLEAN

We will be doing a deep clean of our school over the Halloween break.

The children will be bringing home the items from their basket from Wednesday 21st onwards- please be mindful that her bag may be heavier than usual on these days. Please keep these materials at home. We ask that you use the mid-term break to clean and sanitize all her stationary, lunch containers, bags etc so that they are ready for November 2nd when we reopen.
