Engineers Week 2021 will take place next week!
STEPS Engineers week will take place from the 27th of February to the 5th of March 2021.Next week from the 1st -5th of March the children in Scoil Mhuire Lourdes will be doing some online and hands-on engineering activities as part of their SESE work.
This Weekend marks the start of STEPS Engineers Week. On Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th of February STEPS are running Online Engineering Fairs for families. Tune in to engineering shows and workshops suitable for the whole family. Families can sign up for free and choose from a range of age appropriate shows and workshops for your family to enjoy together.

Engineers Week 2016
The mathematicians in 4th and 5th classes attended a fun and entertaining show in Carlow IT on Tuesday the 1st of March. The show, ‘Secrets, Lies and Randomness’ was presented by Dr Maths and organised by STEPS, Engineers Ireland. Dr Maths showed the girls how to perform magic tricks with playing cards, using their mathematical skills. The girls agreed it was a very enjoyable show.
The budding engineers of 3rd Class were entertained in Tullow Library on Thursday by Fionnghuala Ryan, Environmental Awareness Officer. They learned all about Climate Change and Renewable Energies in a fun and exciting way while playing the ‘Energy Game’. A great morning was had by all.
