Scoil Mhuire Lourdes Enrolment

Application for enrolment for 20/21 school year in Scoil Mhuire Lourdes, Tullow, now open, closing date February 14th 2020.

During this time application forms will be available from the school secretary 10.00 – 2.00 p.m. each day.

In order to facilitate teacher training for the introduction and implementation of the Primary Language Curriculum/Curaclam Teanga na Bunscoile, the Department of Education and Skills has sanctioned a one-day school closure to facilitate teacher training (Circular Letter 0039/2018).

Therefore, the school will be closed Thursday 23^rd January 2020

School will re-open on Friday 24^th January at 9.10 am.

Happy New year to everyone in our school family. I hope you all had an enjoyable and relaxing Christmas break.

School reopens tomorrow, 6th January at 9.10am. Gates will open at 9am. Welcome to our new children and teachers to Scoil Mhuire Lourdes.

Please ensure to wear your tracksuit (navy tracksuit, white t-shirt and runners) tomorrow and every Monday until further notice. There will be a variety of activities taking place on Mondays from gymnastics to cycling and even some tag rugby!

Due to a power outage in the area, Scoil Mhuire Lourdes is closed today, 18th December.  School will reopen tomorrow 19th December.

The Christmas concert/show for the girls in Senior Infants, 2nd, 4th and 6th class will take place tomorrow, 19th December at 9.45am in the school hall. All are welcome to attend.

Thank you to the  parents who came to our iNet Cyber Safety talk last night in the hall. To say that it was informative is an understatement so a huge thank you to Ger for giving us so many insights and tips on how to keep our children safe online.

Unfortunately much of the information we received included some shocking statistics about online activity , however I yet again urge parents/ guardians to take an active and responsible role in becoming more aware of what your child is doing online.
