We are delighted to welcome the KCLR Packed Lunch Tour on Thursday 23rd February  to SML. The outside broadcast will be at our school from 1pm-2pm, so be sure to tune in to listen our girls on the airwaves or online.

Final Part of the RSE Series: Making the Big Talk many Small Talks’

Dear Parents,

We at National Parents Council Primary are looking at how we can support children to make and sustain healthy relationships and friendships. Following Part 2 of our Relationship and Sexuality Education three-part programme where we learned about ‘Active Listening Skills’ and how we use those skills to build our relationships and support conversations with our children, we are now moving on to the final part of the series, Part 3. This part of the series will be covering the topic ‘Making the Big Talk many Small Talks’ (30th January to the 3rd February 2023). 

Please note that these sessions are completely online, and you will have to register prior to the event date for the link to the session.

This is a free online interactive programme designed by National Parents Council (NPC) to enable you to support your children in primary school to make and sustain healthy relationships and friendships.

Where and When: Sessions will be taking place online via Zoom in the morning (10am) and evening (7:30pm) from Monday the 30th of January to Thursday the 2nd of February, with an additional morning session (10am) on Friday the 3rd of February. The RSE series comprises of three sessions including:

1.       ‘Supporting your Child to build Healthy Friendships and Relationships’

2.       Active Listening Skills

3.       ‘Making the Big Talk many Small Talks’

These sessions are open to all parents of children in primary school. Please forward the details to other parents. 

Please note these sessions will be interactive allowing parents to participate and hence places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

 

This programme is delivered by National Parents Council and funded by the Sexual Health Crisis Pregnancy Programme.

Grandparents Day Mass 25th January @ 9.30am

To celebrate Grandparents Day we will be having a special Mass at 9.30am on the 25th January in the Church of the Most Holy Rosary, Tullow.

After Mass, we would like to invite you back to Scoil Mhuire Lourdes for some tea/coffee and treats whilst looking at some beautiful artwork dedicated to our super grandparents.

Happy new year! This new year, we are kicking off with another batch of interactive sessions designed by National Parents Council just for you! This time the sessions are based around the Relationship and Sexuality Education (RSE) Series with the first session on ‘Supporting your Child to build Healthy Friendships and Relationships’!
