Leprechaun hunt in Junior Infants
A leprechaun has been spotted in the playground sprinkling magic dust! Junior Infants investigated all the clues he had left and the magical leprechuan dust. The ladies managed to locate some of his treasure which they took back to to the class. Ms. Madden was asked to given each girl some dust going home to see if the leprechaun might come to visit in someones house!
Maths Trail in Second Class
As part of Maths Week, Second class had great fun participating in a Maths trail around the school. They used lots of mathematical skills whilst also using the environment.
Shape Hunt in Maths
Senior Infants have been learning all about shapes and their attributes. Today they went on a hunt for some shapes around the playground which have escaped! It was great fun and they learned lots about each.
Maths Stations in Senior Infants
The children in Senior Infants are learning the new skills of:
- sorting, classifying and extending shapes and patterns
They used Ready Set go Maths manipulatives and worked in groups. They had great fun and enjoyed all the learning!

Maths Games: Sorting and Classifying
Sorting and classifying is so important that Junior Infants even turn it into a game! The children worked together to sort and classify a variety of maths equipment. Well done!
