Senior Infants finished up work on the Athletics strand this week with a mixed stations lesson. The girls had great fun throwing, jumping, hopping and running around the course. Well done girls!
Sherpa Kids: Before, after and holiday care for children in SML

We are delighted to announce that the Board of Management in Scoil Mhuire Lourdes has engaged Sherpa Kids to provide breakfast club, after school care and holiday care at our school. This will ensure our pupils and our families will have the support they need right here under one roof and at an affordable price. Sherpa Kids will be starting the full service in the new school year (Sept 2024) but before then, they will be launching their service with a 2-week Holiday programme during the summer holiday period. This will give families the opportunity to get to know Sherpa Kids, learn about their Adventure Programme, and build a relationship with them. More information to follow!
6th class Retreat
The girls who are making their Confirmation attended a retreat last Friday in order to prepare for the sacrament. They had lots of fun with their two leaders and learnt so much about themselves and their classmates. Both 6th classes are looking forward to making their Confirmation this Saturday. We wish them the best of luck.
Family Entertainment Tullow Street Carlow
Carlow County Council are hosting Streetfest Carlow on Tullow Street which will be pedestrianised on 5 weekends over the next 3 months 12th & 13th April, 2024; 3rd & 4th May, 2024, 10th & 11th May, 2024, 31st May & 1st June, 2024 and 7th & 8th June, 2024.

Scholastic Book Fair coming soon to Scoil Mhuire Lourdes!!
Here in Scoil Mhuire Lourdes we will be holding a Book Fair for all classes. The children will have an opportunity to view the books at the Fair on Friday, March 8th in the school and choose books/stationary they would like to purchase using a wish list. Please do not feel under any obligation to buy all the items on the wish list that your daughter shows you.
On Monday 11th and Tuesday 12th, March the children will bring in the wish list and money in an envelope/purse to pay for the books/stationary they have chosen. The €1.50 book tokens the children got for World Book Day can be used at the Book Fair.
The lucky winners who won a book token for best dressed on World Book Day can also use the vouchers to purchase books at the Book Fair. Enjoy the Book Fair everyone!

Senior Infants have been learning about materials this week and took part in a materials hunt around school to see which materials we could find!
