We will be having a Lá Glas on the 15th Márta to get ready for Lá Fhéile Padraig. There will be a lán imeachtaí ar siúl on this day and throughout Seachtain Na Gaeilge for the children.

Wear green/ have a green face/ green hair whatever you wish.

Here in Scoil Mhuire Lourdes we will be holding a Book Fair for all classes. The children will have an opportunity to view the books at the Fair on Thursday, March 10^th in the school Hall and choose books they would like to purchase using a wishlist. On Wednesday, March 16^th, the children will bring in the wishlist and money in an envelope/purse to pay for the books. The €1.50 book tokens the children got for World Book Day can be used at the Book Fair. The lucky winners who won a book token for best dressed on World Book Day can also use the vouchers to purchase books at the Book Fair. Enjoy the Book Fair everyone. Happy shopping!!

Here in Scoil Mhuire Lourdes we will be celebrating World Book Day on Thursday, March 3^rd. It is a great opportunity to promote reading and its many benefits in our school Community. The children will come to school on the day dressed as a favourite character from a book. Pupils in all classes will be engaging in World Book Day activities such as discussing favourite books, DEAR time, listening to excerpts from stories, listening to interviews with authors, taking part in World Book Day quizzes, researching authors, designing book covers and writing book reviews to name but a few. There will be spot prizes of book tokens for the best dressed on the day which can be used to purchase books at our upcoming Scholastic Book Fair 2022.
