Engineers Week 2016
The mathematicians in 4th and 5th classes attended a fun and entertaining show in Carlow IT on Tuesday the 1st of March. The show, ‘Secrets, Lies and Randomness’ was presented by Dr Maths and organised by STEPS, Engineers Ireland. Dr Maths showed the girls how to perform magic tricks with playing cards, using their mathematical skills. The girls agreed it was a very enjoyable show.
The budding engineers of 3rd Class were entertained in Tullow Library on Thursday by Fionnghuala Ryan, Environmental Awareness Officer. They learned all about Climate Change and Renewable Energies in a fun and exciting way while playing the ‘Energy Game’. A great morning was had by all.
Crafty Knitters 4th Class
The children in Ms. Murphy’s class were very creative this year. They designed and knitted an array of excellent pieces from bags to scarves and much more. Take a look at their creations.
4th Class School Tour
The children from 4th class had a wonderful school tour in June. They visited the Botanic Gardens, The National Art Gallery and The National History Museum in Dublin with their teacher Ms. Murphy. It was great fun. Take a look at them below!
