Engineers Week 2016

The mathematicians in 4^th and 5^th classes attended a fun and entertaining show in Carlow IT on Tuesday the 1^st of March. The show, ‘Secrets, Lies and Randomness’ was presented by Dr Maths and organised by STEPS, Engineers Ireland. Dr Maths showed the girls how to perform magic tricks with playing cards, using their mathematical skills. The girls agreed it was a very enjoyable show.   

The budding engineers of 3^rd Class were entertained in Tullow Library on Thursday by Fionnghuala Ryan, Environmental Awareness Officer. They learned all about Climate Change and Renewable Energies in a fun and exciting way while playing the ‘Energy Game’. A great morning was had by all.
