4th class really enjoyed their visit from Heritage Schools artist Mary Wallace today. The girls will be working with Mary over 4 sessions to learn how to draw from observation. Today we learned how to hold a pencil correctly for drawing and how to make light and dark lines and shading. We also visited the Church to look at the stained glass windows and began work on sketching the oak tree on the grounds of the convent from various angles. The girls really enjoyed the lesson and are already looking at drawing in a new way!
