BT Young Scientist Competition

5^th Class in Scoil Mhuire Lourdes participated in the BT Young Scientist Competition that took place in RDS Dublin on Thursday 11^th January with their project Lights, Camera Satisfaction. The girls investigated why we find things satisfying. They made different versions of cloud dough and kinetic sand and completed surveys with people to explore what aspects made it more satisfying such as the texture, the smell, the sight and sound effects while using it. There were months of preparation for the big day to create the project. They were the only primary school from Carlow to display their project. The girls were interviewed by judges about their project. They even made it onto news2day!!
