In conjunction with Laya Healthcare and Supervalu, the children visited the local supermarket with a nutritionist to learn more about healthy food choices. It was a great day with everyone learning lots about the healthy foods which area readily available to us. It was also tasty as everyone had a food sampling session!

Wake Up Shake Up!
WHAT: Wake up Shake Up Dancing: ‘DO YA LOVE ME?’
WHEN: 9.20am Thursday mornings
WHERE: School Playground
WHO: All classes (and parents too!)
WHY: To get fit, have fun and throw some shapes!
Wake Up Shake Up is a dance initiative undertaken in our school by each class. It follows on from our success last year of ‘ Don’t Stop Me Now’ and ‘Ohh Eeeh!’.
It is part of our school action plan for ‘Health Promoting schools’ to improve our physical health. It will take place on Thursdays (weather permitting) outside. We would encourage all children to take part and to have fun. Get practising!
Health Promoting Schools Meeting: Reminder
Reminder: Health Promoting Schools Meeting at 2.30pm today in Ms. Coen’s Room.
Active Ladies in 4th
We had seven weeks swimming lessons in Mount Wolseley. We loved it and we all improved so much during that time. For the months of November and December, Ger is training us Gaelic football skills on the asto- turf pitch in the Community School.
Nutri-Safari in association with Super Troopers and Supervalu
As part of our Healthy School initiative, we visited Super Valu where we heard all about eating healthily and nutrition from a Dietitian. We tasted some delicious samples there and had a tour of the supermarket. We really enjoyed the day and even got a ‘goodie’bag’ each!
